Martha Estrada earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies and Community Leadership. Her love for teaching extends from the classroom into dance rooms every day. Using her knowledge in developing curriculums, Martha has helped students develop strong techniques throughout the years. Her previous students can be seen in collegiate dance teams as well as collegiate dance programs. Teaching for over 10 years, Martha has had the opportunity to choreograph for dancers, ice skaters, vocal artists, and color/winter guard programs. Martha’s choreography has been awarded in dance at a regional and national level.
Aside from teaching in the studio, she continues to be involved in the community by teaching dance at local outreach programs. Martha is excited to be entering her second year as a dance teacher for the magnet program at Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts for both the Middle/High school.
As a student she has trained in many genres of dance. Those genres include: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Modern. While competing at a regional and national level she received scholarships under Hall of Fames Dance Challenge's ALL -STAR Competitive League, Showstoppers, and Showbiz. Aside from competing, she has also had the opportunity performing in the musical theatre production South Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Martha started developing her skills as an instructor at an early age. She took the opportunity at local studios to be a class assistant and demonstrator. As Martha continued dancing, she has taken classes by many renowned instructors. Throughout the years she has attended conventions such as NYCDA, Adrenaline, West Coast Dance Explosion, L.A. Dance Magic, Florida Dance Masters and more.
She continues to fuel her passion by taking classes as an instructor and looks forward to bringing what she learns into the classroom. This upcoming year she looks forward to getting her certifications in Progressing Ballet Techniques, Acrobatic Arts, and beginning the certification for the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum.
Martha loves to share her passion for dance with anyone who has the desire to dance. Whether you’re someone looking to dance as an extracurricular activity or someone pursuing a career in dance, she is passionate to get students to achieve their goals!
